Regina Broussard made pastel and prismacolor drawings, which were primarily portraits of the people and places around her. The image of a squirrel appears repeatedly in her work, which is characterized by a confident graphic line and strong, flat patterns of color. Food images are a common theme in much of her work and her candy-colored palette further reinforces such content. Her work has been exhibited at the Oakland Museum, Richmond Art Center, San Jose State University, and in an exhibit traveling to Belgium, France and Switzerland, as well as Bay Area galleries.
Regina Broussard worked at Creative Growth Art Center from 1978-2006.
