Terri entered Creative Growth Art Center's studio in 1993. Creative Growth Art Center in downtown Oakland serves physically and mentally disabled adult artists, providing a stimulating studio environment for artistic instruction, gallery promotion and personal expression.
Terri enjoys talking about her art. She likes artmaking because it is challenging, fun, and she enjoys getting dirty.
"I like drawing birds, animals, people. I like drawing things that are alive and changing."
Terri often draws albino animals and albino people. Terri has had many albino friends who, like herself, are legally blind. She feels that people are people however, regardless of their race or nationality. Terri has a whimsical and quirky sense of humor that is delightfully evident in her artwork.
