Regina Broussard makes pastel and prismacolor drawings which are primarily portraits of the people and places around her. The image of a squirrel appears repeatedly in her work, which is characterized by a confident graphic line and strong, flat patterns of color. Food images appear in much of her work. Her work has been exhibited at the Oakland Museum, Richmond Art Center, San Jose State University, and in an exhibit traveling to Belgium, France and Switzerland, as well as Bay Area galleries.
