Nelson Tygart draws and paints the animals, people and places he is fond of. With their energetic graphic lines and saturated color, his dynamic images push up against the edges of paper and canvas, ready to spring from the page. Always a commanding presence, his Brut Beasts are either gently smiling or fiercely snarling. Nelson also loves coffee and often draws his beloved cup of coffee. Nelson's artwork has been exhibited in Oakland, San Francisco, Sacramento, and Nantucket, Massachusetts and is in several private and public collections. |
