Curated by Director Emeritus Tom di Maria, this exhibition highlights the evolution of the center by showcasing works from our historic artists.

"While we celebrate our 50th anniversary with an extraordinary exhibit at SFMOMA, our Oakland Gallery pays tribute to the countless artists with disabilities who have worked in our studio since 1974. So many of these early artists were denied opportunities for exhibitions and creative recognition due to stigmas around disability and art. These biases still exist, but all of us at Creative Growth continue to work at dismantling the remaining barriers that impede full artistic equality for people with disabilities." - Tom di Maria
