George Wilson is an artist whose eyes and hands are always in motion as he works and his drawings gracefully communicate this vibrant, frenetic energy. For over thirty years George has concentrated on making colorful, large-scale drawings of dogs, horses, and people captured alone or gathered in rows or spirited crowds. Favoring a bright palette of hues, George’s vigorous lines are further activated by his choice of color. His black and white drawings have a similar dynamism to the colored works yet are more abstract in subject matter. In both styles, his lines are so exhaustive they often indent the paper.
George has attended Creative Growth since 1985 and has been featured in many Creative Growth exhibitions as well as shows at Direct Art Gallery in Dusseldorf, the Museum of Everything in London, and Galerie Art Cru in Berlin.
