As 2020 draws to a welcome close, and the eagerly awaited new year dawns, we have much to be grateful for at Creative Growth. While the past year has brought daunting challenges and painful experiences for many communities, including our own, we have been fortunate to find innovative ways to stay connected, support each other, witness the transformative power of making art, and share the extraordinary work of Creative Growth artists with an ever-increasing global audience.
We invite you to take a moment to appreciate the impressive accomplishments of Creative Growth artists over the past 12 months. We don’t yet know when we will all be back in the Studio, working together in person. Nevertheless, wherever we find ourselves, and however the new year unfolds, we look forward to a brighter 2021, and to continuing to celebrate together the capacity of Âart to bring joy and beauty into innumerable hearts and lives.

VIRTUAL PROGRAMMING
This year Creative Growth launched virtual programs for more than 140 artists, in an effort to maintain the artistic facilitation and sense of community previously offered in our Oakland Studio before Shelter in Place. These programs now include Creative Growth artist-led workshops and presentations, as well as Visiting Artist programs. In 2020, Creative Growth had over 2,500 check-ins with artists and offered over 850 online classes. Click through images to view some highlights from our virtual programming.
