This March, Creative Growth reaches a new milestone: a major exhibition, artist presentation, and auction at Tajan, one of Europe's most esteemed auction houses. From March 2–6, 2026, works by Creative Growth artists will be on view and later for auction in Paris, marking a significant moment in the international recognition of artists with developmental and intellectual disabilities.
Founded in 1864, Tajan has been a cornerstone of the European art market for over 160 years. Located in Paris's 8th arrondissement. The prestigious auction house has built its reputation on presenting exceptional works across fine art, decorative arts, and contemporary art.
Featured artists include Dan Miller, Dwight Macintosh, Susan Janow, Joseph Alef, Alice Wong, Latifa Noorzai, and Monica Valentine.
The exhibition is presented in conjunction with Tajan's upcoming auction "Les Francs-Tireurs de l'Art" (The Sharpshooters of Art), a sale dedicated to outsider art and art brut. Auction houses, collectors, and institutions worldwide recognize that Creative Growth artists are essential voices in contemporary art, not relegated to a separate category, but integral to the broader conversation.
Presentation by Sunny a. smith at tajan
On the evening of March 2nd at 7:00 PM, Creative Growth's Executive Director Sunny A. Smith will present a talk about Creative Growth's mission, history, and the artists featured in the exhibition. Smith, who joined Creative Growth in 2025, brings extensive experience as both an artist and arts administrator. Attendance at the presentation requires advance registration (RSVP to rsvp@tajan.com), and space is limited.
