Creative Growth artists Peter Salsman and Daniel Gardiner are featured in Bedford Gallery's High Pile: Concepts in Tufting. This exhibition explores tufting beyond its traditional associations with domestic and commercial craft, highlighting the medium’s role within contemporary fine art as a site of experimentation and conceptual inquiry. This exhibition examines tufting as a practice where color is built through fiber density, form emerges through pile structure, and materiality plays a central role in how the work is experienced.

ABOUT The bedford gallery
The Bedford was originally founded in 1968 as the "Civic Arts Gallery" and was renamed to honor Peter and Kirsten Bedford, who donated generously to Lesher Center for the Arts. The Bedford is a part of the City of Walnut Creek's Arts + Rec Department.
The Bedford is dedicated to providing opportunities to learn about visual arts through exhibitions and programs that are varied, accessible, challenging, and educational.
The Bedford organizes and presents four exhibitions per year. Additionally, throughout the year we offer many opportunities for the public to engage with the visual arts through lectures, workshops, panel discussions and more.
